[Best Products for those No Make-Up Days
Between quarantine and these heat waves, I have been wearing little to no makeup and embracing it. The next few products are in my daily line up for those Summer days when I want to be barefaced, but still go out in public :)
Olehenriksen Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum: I discovered this product in a search to get rid of discoloration and dark spots that were developing on my cheeks and lip area (that journey is for another post). The reason this serum is on this list, aside from the fact that its working, is because of its color – it’s PURPLE. Yes, purple. Not sure how, but the purple color helps to even out and brighten the skin, plus it leaves a gorgeous glow. Take note that the label warns this product could make your skin sensitive to sunburn, however I usually layer on SPF afterward and I haven’t had any issues.[show_shopthepost_widget id=4107719]TULA blurring and moisturizing primer – This primer is THE perfect product for those barefaced days. Even though I have never worn primer on a regular basis, this product has become a must for me. To be honest, I am not sure I even use it for the purpose of a primer. I use it because it blurs little imperfections and evens out my skin tone instantaneously. This product comes in two sizes, so you can always purchase the smaller one for a trial run. Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue : the one is definitely light coverage but goes on smooth and provides a nice tint. The product is a thinner consistency, so I feel like it would work for all skin types.
Elta MD Tinted Moisturzer: my top contender on the list, and recommended by my favorite skincare guru Brooklyn Blonde; this budget friendly Tinted SPF has hyaluronic acid for moisture retention and reducing fine lines. I find it goes on a bit shiny at first, but that goes away once it absorbs.
