[Palomino Fest & Rodeo - Uvalde, Texas The Palomino Fest Labor Day Weekend Celebration was born in 1996 at the Uvalde Fairgrounds as Uvalde's Grammy Award-winning musicians, Los Palominos, sought to perform for the community that helped them get their start. Little did they know what began as a small gathering would evolve into the largest of celebrations that now welcomes thousands of patrons.
Now produced by Uvalde Festival and Events Association, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization in association with Southwest Texas Junior College and Los Palominos, Palomino Fest's goal is to celebrate our Southest Texas Heritage and culture with LIVE music, a pro rodeo, carnival rides and much more. The fun, clean and safe family environment is welcoming to area and out-of-town guests visiting our community.
The best part is not the entertainment, food or beverages - it's the thousands of dollars the festival donates each year to Southwest Texas Junior College for use as scholarships for area college students.]
