The restaurant in Federal Way is large and beautifully decorated, but the new barrier down the middle of Pacific Hway makes a U-turn necessary. It's not very visible in the corner of the parking lot, but is SO worth finding and visiting--right behind the huge Gen-X store on the corner of 320th and Pacific.
Now about the food: it has consistently delicious and well - prepared Vietnamese food, as well as some Thai dishes. One favorite appetizer is the healthy, light salad rolls with either shrimp, pork, or tofu along with vegetables, vermicelli, and peanut bean sauce for dipping.
I also love the sauteed beef with lemongrass, which comes in a large bowl, along with grilled onion chunks, herbs, vermicelli, and a tasty fish sauce. Lately, I've been getting the Special Chow Mein, very filling and good to pass around to friends.
We like the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, authentically made with by mixing strong dripped coffee with condensed milk. The Bubble Tea, in many flavors, is a welcome addition.
I like to give Gift Certificates to Linh Son's to friends as thank-you gifts or for birthdays,etc. They also appreciate it because they can get a tasty meal with drink and appetizer for around $10-$12.
Ordering take-out is what we often do if we're having guests at home or don't feel like going out. It's always freshly-prepared and as delicious as eating in the restaurant.
Linh Son's seems mostly family-run and has amazingly long open hours 7 days a week. Mon-Sat is 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday is 11AM to 9:00 PM."
