Cornwall Heritage Trust is a charitable organisation set up to protect Cornwall's unique heritage. Cornwall Heritage Trust also has an expanding educational programme which includes; teaching resources, Weekend Walks in Cornwall and a Heritage Award Scheme for KS2 pupils. Sites owned by Cornwall Heritage Trust include Trevanion Culverhouse, Castle an Dinas, Sancreed Beacon and Treffry Viaduct. Cornwall Heritage Trust also manages Dupath Well, Hurlers Stone Circles, Tregiffian Burial Chamber, St Breock Downs Monolith, King Doniert's Stone, Trethevy Quoit and Carn Euny. Cornwall Heritage Trust works to raise funds to protect and conserve these historic Cornish sites and provide educational resources about Cornwall's rich heritage. There are a range of comprehensive Education Packs covering a wide range of subjects taught within the school curriculum for several Cornwall Heritage Trust sites including Treffry Viaduct near Lostwithiel and Carn Euny, an Iron Age settlement near Lands End. Cornwall Heritage Trust works alongside English Heritage to help preserve many important historical sites in Cornwall and to provide educational resources for all ages. The royal patron of Cornwall Heritage Trust is HRH The Prince of Wales Duke of Cornwall. In collaboration with Exeter University the Trust awards an annual Bursary to post graduate students undertaking a Masters’ Degree in studies relating to the Heritage of Cornwall. In the past the Trust has run annual heritage competitions in Poetry and Media for schools at both primary and secondary school levels. The Trust is also devising a programme to widen the appreciation of Cornwall’s heritage to the young people of Cornwall through the school curriculum.
