[Homepage | Thomas Schatz Welcome to my website. I’m Thomas Schatz, an assistant professor at Aix-Marseille Université, in Marseille, France.
I study intelligence in humans—and other animals—as well as in machines, with a focus on understanding how human infants learn to perceive the world around them and how that might inspire the design of less costly, more capable and more reliable artificial learning systems. In most of my work so far, I have taken speech perception as a case study. ]
