Youth Summer Futsal is back!!! What is Futsal? Futsal is a variation of soccer usually played indoors on a hard surface on a much smaller court. The typical game is 5-on-5 and this includes the goalkeepers. A size 4 weighted ball for less bounce is used in Futsal. What are the benefits for youth development? The surface, ball and rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces. These are fundamental key skills necessary in the training for development stage of the Long Term Athletic Development model (ages 8-12). When/Where? Futsal will take place at St. Davids School in Raleigh from 6:30-8:30pm.
